Are you a home-care or medical service?
No. Steady Home Works is a handyman and home-maintenance service. We handle the physical upkeep of the home — repairs, safety installations, and maintenance — not personal or medical care. We're glad to work alongside your home-care provider, not replace them.
Can an adult child arrange everything from out of state?
Yes, that's very common. We'll take the request from you, schedule around your parent's routine, collect approval before extra work, and send photos plus a written summary when finished.
How do home-care providers refer clients to you?
Simply call or email us with your client's needs, or have the family reach out and mention your agency. We communicate clearly about scope, schedule around care visits, and keep you informed about the home-related items affecting your client.
Do you offer free safety assessments?
Yes. We'll walk the home room by room at no charge, flag fall and safety risks, and leave you a prioritized written list with clear pricing — no obligation to proceed.
Is pricing different for seniors?
Our prices are already fair and flat, quoted before work starts. We also happily batch several small fixes into one visit so the list gets cleared at the lowest total cost.
What if Mom or Dad prefers not to have strangers in the house?
We understand completely. Many families start with a brief phone introduction from us, a short first visit for one small job, and go from there. Trust is earned in person, and we take the time to earn it.
