Typical pricing: Safety walkthroughs are free. Individual fixes typically run $90–$400; railings, ramps, and threshold work are quoted on site with a fixed written price.

Are you a medical or home-care provider?
No — Steady Home Works is a handyman and home-maintenance service. We install the physical improvements that make homes safer: railings, grab bars, ramps, lighting. For care needs we're glad to work alongside your home-care provider's recommendations.
Do your modifications meet accessibility guidelines?
We follow ADA/ANSI guidance for grab bars, railing heights (34–38"), and ramp slopes wherever the home allows. We'll explain clearly when a space can't meet a guideline and what the closest safe option is.
Can you help with Medicare or grant paperwork?
We can't bill insurance directly, but we provide detailed written quotes and invoices that families commonly submit for reimbursement or grant programs. We'll note measurements and specs as needed.
How disruptive is the work?
Most safety fixes are measured in hours, not days. We schedule around routines and caregivers, protect floors and furniture, and leave rooms cleaner than we found them.
Do you work with occupational therapist recommendations?
Yes, and we appreciate them. If an OT or care manager has written recommendations, send them over — we quote and build to them.
